*JOB PURPOSE:* The Staff Accountant ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating and entering transactions.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: general ledger accountability, financial reporting, as well as financial profitability analysis and special projects as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:*
* Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
* Participate in financial statement preparation and analysis.
* Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements.
* Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
* Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
* Assist with information gathering for audits and taxes.
* Maintain account reconciliations ensuring accuracy of balances.
* Manage general ledger and assist month-end and year-end close processes.
* Ensure compliance with all internal processes.
* Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines.
* Assist with preparation of the annual budget.
* May assist with invoice processing and annual 1099s.
* Additional duties as assigned within scope of practice.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:*
* Bachelors in accounting, finance, or related field; or an associate degree and 4 years of accounting work experience (required).
* Previous experience as an Accountant (required).
* Healthcare experience (preferred).
