The Quality and Safety Coordinator provides front-line support to the plant facility to ensure that all quality and safety guidelines are being practiced under the direction of both, the Corporate Quality Manager and Safety Manager along with the General Manager.
*Duties and Responsibilities*
* Performs daily quality checks in the assembly and manufacturing processes to ensure that company operational guidelines are being followed.
* Communicates quality processes and safety procedures to employees.
* Conducts quality inspections for work in progress components.
* Performs final product quality audits.
* Conducts floor sample inspections.
* Leads monthly Safety Committee meetings.
* Coordinates annual required OSHA training.
* Responds to work related safety incidents and aids in the incident reporting process.
* Leads by example.
* Maintains training materials and PPE supplies.
* Record keeping.
* Conducts quarterly evacuation drills.
* Other projects or duties as assigned.

*Working conditions*
The work of this position is performed in both an industrial setting as well as an office setting.
The noise level in the industrial environment is usually moderate.
While the facility is climate controlled, at times the employee may be subject to heat or cold, in extreme weather situations.
