Hey Everyone,
Let me thank you for checking out my ad
As usual, I tend to write long ads.
Iām telling you this now because if you arenāt willing to put in a few minutes reading about me and what I can offer - a potentially profitable working relationship for both of us - forget the ālike and shareā crap and hit the old back button now.
I have the skill set to help you earn a healthy living while growing your business with an exit strategy in mind, and I took the time to lay out how - so please enjoy a quick read.
I of course appreciate and respect your time, whether we speak or not, so thank you for that.
My name is Guy, and if you havenāt seen me around Craigslist in some capacity over the last 15 years, Iām an IT and business development specialist.
After over a decade of working with clients whom I met on Craigslist, Iām privileged to be pivoting into my happy place, and thatās full-blown business startup consulting, incubation, and acceleration.
Below I have a few stories about myself as they pertain to my experience in ābusiness lifeā, a simple philosophy towards business, and what I am willing to do to help you begin or grow yoursā¦ Turn back the date to late 2008, and Iām fresh out of Johnson and Wales University in Providence, RI wielding my very expensive piece of paper, a degree.
This piece of paper, this degree, was in a specific field of study that, as my parents put it, āGreat, so you donāt have to work for anyoneā¦ now what?ā This piece of paper in question, was a BS in āEntrepreneurial Studiesā.
Now, I hate this.
I absolutely hate this.
When I went to college to get a degree in their fancy pants āEntrepreneurial Studiesā program, every single person asked me, āAnd, what the heck is thatā¦ā.
āEntrepre-how do you spell itā¦?ā Fast forward to nowadays and you canāt take a breath without hearing the word āentrepreneurā, meaninglessly intermingled with ābusiness ownersā.
.
.
Big sigh.
Now, I have some very biased mixed feelings here.
I of course love entrepreneurship.
Do not get me wrong.
Thereās something to be said about those who want to work for themselves and add value to this world, which always translates into a healthy living for themselves and their families.
But I hate it just the same.
If weāre going to work together, understand that I come from the following viewpoint.
You can work a job.
Own a job.
Or own a business.
Differences? Working for someone, you have a job.
Needing to wake up and be involved to earn money in your own business, you own a job.
You grow, to truly own a business.
This is when you do not have to be there for your business to operate and earn income whether youāre there or not.
I ask you donāt misunderstand my perspective.
We ALL start out working a job.
This is where our own experiences in business begin.
The progressive step is to then start something, where you work for yourself.
Self-employed, but āin your businessā.
You then take your proof of concept and grow to work āon your businessā.
I put all that out there to say this; No matter where you are on that journey, youāre on a journey Iāve been on before and will continue to take over and over.
Rinse and repeat.
Hereās a kind of funny, but not really, story.
In my early 30ās I wanted to push pause and chase a passion.
Already a successful business owner, I decided to pursue, of all thingsā¦ chocolate making.
True story.
Chocolate.
And even though I āachievedā this status of truly owning businesses that operate to this day, I knew zero about chocolate except how to unwrap the wrapper.
So, I got a job at a chocolate shop for $15/hr.
Then started oneā¦ Now I spread premium chocolate made by small chocolatiers to hundreds of customers via my website - which is open every day, all day.
I digress.
Letās leave college in 08ā now.
I got my first real estate license while in college.
Roughly 18 months before the bottom fell out.
When it did, I wasnāt dealing in many home sales as my ācareerā that far was as a rental agent.
Since Providence has 8 colleges it was the low-hanging fruit and enabled a 20-something-year-old to make more money than I ever had before, hands down.
And yes, from then to now, I have started and exited from multiple successful companies and have always been in IT and web development, servicing dozens of clients.
Letās wrap this up in irony.
I paid to go to school to get a piece of paper that said I didnāt have to work for anyone.
I then got a ājobā as a Realtor, which you donāt need that piece of paper to getā¦ Then I started my own ājobsā and turned the proven winners into real businesses.
And now Iām here on Craigslist doing the āweb guyā thing as Iāve done so often, but this time itās through the passion of helping people get started in this journey of building businesses.
Iāll end this differently.
Between being my grandmother's oldest of 12 grandkids, being born in the late 80ās, and the introduction of the VCR, I was literally forced into the lane of being the entire extended familyās tech expertā¦.
From Dellās customer service overseas, with a guy named Bob telling you to restart your computer for the 11th time, to coding WordPress sites.
Now Iām driving real money into businesses - but I grew up in tech.
Weāre not talking about only web services right now, but business startup.
From concept to earning a living.
From the business idea, through to the plan - to accepting payments and exiting.
Business in a box, fully monetized.
Tell me your thoughts, and Iāll tell you whatās possible.
From tangible products to service-based businesses and high-ticket sales; I can help you get started and lay out a path to your exitā¦ I hope this gave you enough to pick up the phone and shoot me a text or give me a shout - so Iāll be speaking with you soon.
Also, the title was a joke.
I am not guaranteeing I have the highest prices, unless you want me toā¦ All My Best, Guy Cell - (516) 262-3526 āYou deal with me, and only me!ā
Iām telling you this now because if you arenāt willing to put in a few minutes reading about me and what I can offer - a potentially profitable working relationship for both of us - forget the ālike and shareā crap and hit the old back button now.
