Job Title: School of Business Leadership Adjunct Faculty

Location: Main Campus Reports to: Faculty Program Director
Position Type: Part-Time FLSA Status: Exempt
Hours worked Per Week: Course time plus availability to students as scheduled/needed
POSITION SUMMARY: This is a continuous vacancy announcement that is filled on a “need only” basis.

The School of Business Leadership in the College of Arts and Sciences at Mid-America Christian University invites applications for part-time instructors to teach the following subjects:
Accounting
Business Administration
Business Law
Economics
Entrepreneurship
Finance
Management
Marketing
Sports Management
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach courses as assigned by the Chair of the School of Business Leadership and/or particular Program Director
Provide quality instruction by following the course syllabus, grading assignments, and tracking attendance
Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on course assignments and strategies for success
Respond and effectively communicate with the Chair and/or Program Director on a regular basis
Available to teach courses in the timeslots needed to support the goals of the University
Other pertinent duties as assigned by the Chair and/or Program Director
Utilize current technologies and incorporate current topics as it relates to course materials.
Support the mission and goals of the University.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess excellent communication, both oral and written, and organizational skills necessary to the position
Must possess excellent communication skills to work effectively with individuals and groups
Must be flexible in scheduling
Prefer experience in various teaching delivery formats
MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Master’s Degree in the subject or a related discipline (minimum of 18 hours upper division coursework in the area being taught)
Subject matter expertise
Effective teaching skills

COMPUTER SKILLS:
Experience with interactive computers programs (e.
g.
Zoom)
D2L or classroom management software experience preferred.
