School Store Coordinator Description Classification Nonexempt Accountability This position reports directly to the Director of Business Date Updated: March 4, 2024 JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/Objective The School Store Coordinator will carry out tasks related to the school store and athletic clothing to support the needs of parents, students, faculty, and staff.
This position must agree with and support the Staff Member’s Covenant and agree with/help fulfill CHA’s Mission Statement.
Essential Functions (Responsibilities and Tasks) Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Research, design, select clothing, and obtain design approval for back-to-school season, winter, spring, homecoming, trips, and faculty using the Christian Heritage Academy branding guide Work with vendors to check availability and best pricing to order items Set the price for each clothing item Add all items to the online school store (Shopify) to track inventory and orders placed Periodically inventory items in school store Collect and organize clothing after items have been printed Fill and distribute all orders placed online Work the school store for anyone who wants to purchase items in-person Market sale items (last season inventory) for purchase Ensure any items to be charged to a family through FACTS is submitted to the finance department for processing Track all invoices and deposits for senior split accounts Sign up senior workers to help in the school store for back-to-school and ball games Set up and manage clothing table and seniors to work the football games Ensure new faculty and staff receive one clothing item and submit payment form through HR for processing Maintain clothing store budget Work with the Athletic Department/Coaches to design and order player packs for all sports Attends staff meetings, committee meetings, and all other meetings that are required Attends Professional Development training and devotions throughout the year Competencies (Qualifications) Knowledge of finances and accounting Shopify program and equipment Verbal and written communication proficiency Maintain confidentiality Attention to detail Proofreading Multi-tasking skills Interpersonal skills Stress management/composure Organizational and management skills Ethical conduct Flexibility and adaptability Initiative Time Management Clerical Skills: Computer, phone, Copier/Printer Professional telephone and office etiquette Supervisor Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopies, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Performance Standards Completing tasks well and in a timely manner (before or at due date), while representing Christian Heritage Academy in a way that is glorifying to Christ.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a part-time, 11-month position.
During the school year, 20 hours per week, with days off according to leave and school calendar from AugustMay with 100 summer hours (or more as needed to prepare for back-to-school.
Travel No travel is expected for this position.
Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The school is currently a multi-level facility, which requires this position to navigate flights of stairs regularly to meet responsibilities as it relates to the school.
Talking - must be able to express ideas and speak clearly and orally in person or over the phone to parents, students and/or other employees.
Hearing ability to perceive sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction and to receive detailed information through oral communication.
Close visual acuity required for viewing a computer monitor, preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing and reading.
Standing, walking and sitting for extended periods of time, moving about on foot for lecturing and monitoring students in the classroom, as well as throughout the building.
Regularly sitting at the computer requiring dexterity of hands and fingers.
Occasional lifting of at least 25 pounds.
Environment is primarily indoors in an office or classroom environment.
On occasion, must be able to work longer hours than a typical day for events such as back to school dinner, parent-teacher conferences, meetings/functions in the evening.
Required Education Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
Preferred Education and Experience Associates Degree or higher with specialized coursework in graphic design and/or business.
