Part Time / Salary / Exempt WORK SCHEDULE Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm as scheduled JOB SUMMARY Under the direction of the PA Program Director and PA Director of Didactic Education, the primary responsibility of the assistant professor of Human Anatomy is to provide instruction to students and to assess students in achieving course learning outcomes for the PA Program didactic anatomy course.
RESPONSIBILITIES Essential Functions: General Promote the mission of SNU and the PA program to all faculty, staff, students and the community.
Promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff and students.
Integrate faith into learning, work, and relationships.
Duties as assigned.
Teaching Serve as didactic course director for the Human Anatomy course.
Provide classroom and laboratory instruction.
Develop lectures, labs, assessments and remediations consistent with current medical evidence.
When serving as course director; update course syllabi, assign course grades, adhere to program and university grading and remediation policies.
Submit course evaluations to the curriculum committee.
Work with the Didactic and Clinical Directors to ensure delivery of quality curriculum.
Work with the Didactic Director to schedule the delivery and assessment of the curriculum.
Evaluate student performance.
Assess student competency through course assessments.
Curriculum Development Assist the Didactic and Clinical Directors in curriculum development, particularly in areas of expertise.
Modify or implement curricular changes based on the program self-study.
Help ensure that curriculum development aligns with the program mission and goals.
Assist the Didactic and Clinical directors with curriculum mapping.
Participate in continuous curriculum review and monitoring of outcomes.
Advising Provide academic advisement to PA students in anatomy courses.
Document academic advisement.
Refer students to university resources where appropriate.
Self-study Attend the annual faculty retreat.
Collect and analyze course/curriculum data as assigned.
Prepare reports for the self-study as assigned.
Required Qualifications: General Southern Nazarene University is an expression of the Church of the Nazarene.

Typing and spelling competency Experience with various computer software applications Education and Experience Related doctoral degree in anatomical sciences (PhD, MD/DO).
Preferred Qualifications: Two or more years of healthcare education experience.
Supervision Received: Receives supervision and work assignments from a designated supervisor, although other staff members in the unit may provide work direction.
