The Legal Intern works directly with in-house attorneys to assist on a range of current projects relevant to the organization.
The Legal Intern will possess a willingness to learn and work collaboratively to gain hands-on experience supporting a publicly traded, nationally recognized leader in the payroll and human capital management industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Research applicable laws, regulations, and legal precedents to support current projects
Effectively organize and communicate research findings to internal stakeholders
Collaborate with in-house attorneys, paralegals, other business units to help achieve goals and timelines
Execute various administrative tasks relevant to the organization
Review and provide analysis of agreements, documents and letters
Conduct fact finding and research current processes as directed by attorneys
Regular attendance as required
Performs other duties as assigned, which may include supporting attorneys in preparing corporate registrations, drafting response letters, and/or updating internal policies and contract templates
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s Degree required
Must be enrolled in a Juris Doctorate program with an ABA Accredited Law School
Experience Required:
Managing multiple tasks, while maintaining an organized and timely completion of projects
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining organization
Detail oriented Ability to adhere to a project timeline
Demonstrated proficiency with computers and communicating
Ability to research various legal issues and compile information in an effective manner
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with various departments
Aself-starter and able to work with little supervision
Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling all obligations
