Oklahoma City Indian Clinic is hiring a Dental Claims Processor to our Dental team.
This position processes all claim submissions for adjudication and payment in the Dental Department.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Submit HIPAA compliant claim batches to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurers; Follow-up on Invalid claims in EDS.
Utilize the invalids report in EDS to make corrections to claims.
Investigates questionable claims and services with certified coders—answers phone calls regarding claims questions as needed.
Create and process claims in the Dentrix and EDS.
Create claims to meet timely filing codes.
Submit and follow-up on HIPAA Compliance Claims.
Participates in any/all training and educational activities necessary to fulfill the minimum requirements specified interdepartmental goals.
Research training opportunities pertinent to the dental billing office and coding staff to remain current with billing practices and coding changes; submits suggested training ideas to the Dental Director for approval.
Thoroughly reviews claims to ensure that there is no missing or incomplete information.
Be expected to cover for the coder in times of leave/absence.
Meets production requirement of 200 claims processed daily.

High school diploma or GED.
Two (2) years’ experience in medical and/or billing and coding.
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial dental insurance plans, and ICD-10, CPT, CDT codes.
Ability to use claims clearinghouse software, EDS.
