Description:
Under the direct or indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or a Licensed Practical Nurse, the Patient Care Assistant supports the agency mission to improve public safety by assisting in the implementation of the nursing process and delivering nursing services to promote health, foster healing, and support the coping and adjustment to various health conditions.
Assists with performing activities of daily living for inmates while maintaining accountability in a safe, secure and therapeutic environment.
Observes, reports, document and communicate interventions, treatments, behaviors, emergent needs and situations as they arise.
Assists with caring for the mental health and physical needs of inmates.
Requirements:
Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Correctional center experience preferred but not required
