The Assistant Workshop Manager is responsible for achieving sales goals, meeting merchandising brand standards and delivering operational excellence through effectively leading a high performing team during their scheduled shifts.
In addition, the Assistant Workshop Manager is responsible for all aspects of inventory control, visual merchandising, backroom organization, and store safety policies and procedures.
Responsibilities When Designated as the Leader on Duty:
Leads a team of associates to consistently model the Experience First standards and behaviors
Communicates clear expectations and holds the store team and self accountable for achieving all brand, performance and behavior standards
Energizes associates to ensure proper coverage, exceptional Guest service, completion of daily tasks and adherence to company standards
Delegates to associate team effectively
Maintains a positive and motivational style in all communication and actions to promote productivity and ownership
Drives associate engagement by recognizing and rewarding employees for outstanding performance
Builds a highly satisfied and loyal customer base through engagement, conversion and capturing Guest information for the loyalty program
Audits daily punches to ensure accuracy and compliance with BABW payroll and timekeeping policies and procedures
Adheres to and enforces all BABW store security and cash management policies and procedures
Ensures store is always Grand Opening ready by following opening and closing procedures
Operates and maintains all IT systems in accordance with policies and procedures
Uses good judgment and partners with his/her Chief Workshop Manager to make necessary decisions within the company’s guidelines
Insures compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as federal, state, local and provincial laws.
Communicates any Guest service and/or and associate issues to the Chief Workshop Manager in a timely fashion and collaborates on resolution of all issues
Other Responsibilities:
Maintains the efficient and productive handling of all merchandise including shipment receipt and processing, floor sets, markdown optimization and replenishment systems while maintaining backroom Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Implements all visual merchandising plans and updates displays using BABW visual standard guidelines and store presentation tools
Ensures all safety policies and procedures are followed and accidents are reported timely
Partners with the Chief Workshop Manager in the execution of the short and long term store business plans to drive results, improve profitability and maximize business opportunities.
Participates in the recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training of employees as delegated by the Chief Workshop Manager
Assists the Chief Workshop Manager to insure compliance with all Federal, State/Provincial and/or local laws and regulations that govern the store’s operation
Uses good judgment and partners with his/her Chief Workshop Manager to make necessary decisions within the company’s guidelines
Proactively seeks personal learning and development opportunities to build leadership skills and enhance individual performance
Other responsibilities as designated by management
Qualifications:
Two + years of supervisory experience with a proven, successful track record in a customer centric business, preferably in restaurant or specialty retail business
Minimum of high school diploma or GED equivalent.
College degree a plus
Is ambitious and success oriented

Excellent interpersonal communications skills, including verbal and written communication
Organized and planful; pays attention to details
