Public Relations Coordinator

*Public Relations Coordinator- *The Public Relations Coordinator will be responsible for developing and implementing earned strategies to promote the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber’s initiatives, events, and programs.
This position will also be responsible for cultivating relationships with local, regional, and national media outlets to ensure positive coverage of the Greater Oklahoma City region.
This position will also support the organization’s marketing and content strategies.
Qualified candidates must have: * Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
* 2+ years of experience in media relations or public relations.
* Superior editorial placement skills, excellent news judgment and well-cultivated media contacts.
* Ability to write in journalistic style, with excellent grammar and strong writing skills.
* Proofreading and editing skills with knowledge of AP Style.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with media outlets.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and media monitoring tools.
* Knowledge of the Greater Oklahoma City area and its business community is preferred.
* Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
* Ability to carry or lift 25-35 pounds for short distances.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $40,000.
00 - $44,000.
