Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies.
Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build.
Leads and implements manufacturing plans.
Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.
Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices.
Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.
Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule.
Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.
Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems.
Implements lean principles and technologies.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including, Associate and Senior Engineers.
Mobility, Surveillance, and Bombers, a sub-division of Boeing Defense Systems, is based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
We are focused on providing our customers with new and enhanced capabilities to their existing aircraft fleets.
Some of these fleets of aircraft are decades old.
MS&B designed system enhancements, and added capabilities, keep these legacy fleets relative in the current day environments they must operate in.
Example aircraft platforms include the E-3 AWACS, E-7, B-1/B-52 Bombers, and Executive Transport Fleets consisting of C-32A's and C-40's.
The MS&B Production Engineering Team consists of Manufacturing Engineers, Industrial Engineers, and Ship-Side Liaison Engineers.
We support the various Programs within MS&B, through existing multi-year Engineering and Logistics contracts.
These contracts enable our Government and Commercial customers to keep their aircraft fleets capable and relevant.
Successful candidates need to have a strong technical skills base.
They should be able to employ critical thinking skills, understand the "big picture" and enjoy integration challenges of large and small systems.
Desire to review, learn, and interpret Engineering Drawings/Specification in order to help translate them into workable job plans for implementation by skilled Technicians and Platform Mechanics.
Position Responsibilities: Review and learn design engineering specifications and processes for production capability.
Create procurement plans from Engineering designed parts lists.
Create installation plans from Engineering drawings.
Solve technical issues encountered along the way.
Identify process improvements and risks, and support the overall Production Engineering Process, from the design phases through the on-aircraft installation/test phase Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Active security clearance - SECRET Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry Experience or completed coursework within Aerospace, Systems Engineering, electrical, and Mechanical Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Prior Aerospace Engineering experience Experience managing projects and tasks lists Ability to learn new processes and software tools Ability to communicate with larger teams on task progress Specific requirements: Surge support for the Systems Labs and UK E7 Programs
