POSITION SUMMARY: Works under direct supervision to maintain the flow of materials within the facility during the various phases of equipment production.
Also responsible for maintaining shop cleanliness within manufacturing facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Abide by all Oil states Energy Services, LLC Safety and Operational Policies and Procedures.
Receive delivered parts and equipment by verifying, measuring and counting items.
Inspect product for damages.
Decide appropriate placement of received equipment in storage area of facility.
Use handling equipment to unload and move materials as necessary.
Complete paperwork and submit to Inventory Coordinator and Production Coordinator for entry into applicable databases.
Operate forklift to transport product through the various facility shops to assist in maintaining a smooth production process, while ensuring the required documentation remains attached to materials for tracking purposes.
Perform routine shop housekeeping such as, but not limited to, cleaning shop, picking up tools, and sweeping floors.
Utilize saws or other cutting machine to cut raw metal and materials in preparation for machinists to produce finished parts or other equipment.
Assist manager or other shop personnel with special shop projects such as, but not limited to, performing basic construction of shop structures.
Other duties as assigned.
SPECIALIZED DUTIES BY PRODUCT LINE Operate handling equipment such as hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, and overhead cranes Operate related equipment and maintenance tools, including drill press, saw, grinder, etc.
Utilize basic measuring tools KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be able to read, write and speak in English.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules or procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and complete paperwork.
Must have mechanical aptitude.
Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram forms.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Must successfully pass pre-and post-employment drug and alcohol tests per company policy.
Basic math skills required.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Up to six (6) months experience as a General Laborer or similar position in manufacturing or the oilfield preferred.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSES PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Must be able to work in an environment of varying indoor and outdoor climates including warm, hot and cold temperatures.
Must have good manual dexterity to perform daily tasks, operate machines or other standard shop equipment.
Must have vision and hearing within normal range.
